Commenting On a Planning Application
Anybody may comment on any application. However, we would suggest that you come in to view the application and plans beforehand so that you know how the proposal will affect you. If you need help with understanding the proposal and plans please speak to a Customer Service Advisor in the first instance. The Duty Planning Officer is available between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and between 9.00am and 4.00pm on Friday, and will be happy to discuss and advise further if necessary.
We would prefer comments to be made using our online form. Alternatively, written comments can be made either by email or you may post a letter to Head of Development Services, Kettering Borough Council, Municipal Offices, Bowling Green Road, Kettering, NN15 7QX. Please give the application reference number and site location in all communications and remember to include your name and full postal address.
Any observations should be received no later than 3 weeks after the application has been publicised, to ensure that they are taken into account.
For householder applications, comments made at application stage are those taken forward if an appeal against refusal is subsequently made. No further comments can be accepted.
The Council has a statutory duty to make a decision on planning applications based on the policies, criteria and standards set out in the Local Plan, the North Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy (JCS), central Government policy advice, and other "material" considerations.
